Multiple Parimary Mailgnant Tumor in Gastric Cancer Patients



Abstract
According to the development of variable new diagnostic methods and lengthened survival, the chance of the occurrence of multiple primary malignant tumors in the same patients is in creased and one of the interesting subjects for our
investigation
and
research.
Many investigators were proposed the criteria for multiple primary malignant tumors.
We experienced 15 cases of multiple primary malignant tumors in 1063 cases of gastric cancer patients from January 1982 to December 1993.
The incidence ofmultiple primary malignant tumor in gastric cancer patients was 1.51% in our research. There were 9 males, and 7 females, and the age incidence was highest in the 7th decades, with average age of 55.9 years.
The most common sites were digestive tracts(6 cases of colon, 3 cases of liver, 1 cases of esophagus and gall bladder), and others were skin, urethra, breast, cervix and lymphoma.
The most common pathlogic type of each gastric cancers were poorly differentiated adenocarcinoma in 6, others were well differentiated adenocarcinoma in 4, moderately differentiated in 3, mucinous in 2, undifferentiated adenocarcinoma in 1 case.
